STARS GET A BUS FROM NMB

THE national soccer team, Taifa Stars, yesterday received a 28-seater bus from one of their sponsors, the National Microfinance Bank (NMB).

The bus worth US dollar 45,000 (about 50m/-) was received by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) President Leodegar Tenga.

Tenga said the bus would be used to transport players and team officials. He said it would also be used for the federation's activities including transporting officials and youth teams.

"This support has come at the right time," he said.

He further said that the support would enable them save costs and ensure efficient and reliable transportation for the team.

NMB Chief Executive Officer Ben Christiaanse said the contribution was part of the 400m/- package the bank has set aside to sponsor the team.

"NMB is very happy to provide TFF with this beautiful bus. It feels nice for us to give something that will last for a very long time. We hope that you will enjoy this bus", he said.

"The bus has been completely re-sprayed in the colours requested by the TFF, branded and serviced. Our team deserves quality," Christiaanse added.
