EXIM Bank Tanzania Limited has posted half-year 4.91bn/- net profit for the period ended June 2007, it was announced yesterday.
The bank said in a statement that the trend showed a significant performance compared to 3.762bn/- recorded during the period that ended June 2006.
The bank which marks its 10th anniversary also showed increased net profit for the second quarter of 2007 (April – June), which reached 2.537bn/-, up from 2.373bn/- (January – March).
During its 10 years of existence, Exim branch network has extended 10.
Its four branches in Dar es Salaam are Corporate (Samora), Clock Tower, Hill Park and Temeke, while upcountry branches are Arusha, Moshi, Mtwara, Morogoro, Tanga and Mwanza.
The bank’s customer deposits stood at 241.736bn/- as of June 30, up from 221.443bn/- as of March 31, this year.
It total assets grew to 338.511bn/- as at June 30, up from 310.87bn/- recorded at the end of the first quarter (January – March) 2007.
The bank’s balance sheet reflected growth in loans and advances portfolio that reached 134.233bn/-, up from 127.347bn/- at the end of the first quarter.
